Job Description

Barhale Ltd is one of the largest civil engineering and infrastructure specialists with 40 years of experience working UK-wide across the water, transport, built environment and energy sectors. As we commence a number of exciting projects across the UK, we are looking to enhance our IT service provision.
Our IT department is based in Walsall and delivers IT solutions and services to our regional offices and sites throughout the whole of the UK. To ensure that we can continue to provide a high level of support we’re looking for an administrator who will help organise and maintain our IT systems and processes.

The role itself involves varied tasks and responsibilities working within a busy department. One day you’ll be tracking IT equipment, the next resolving IT equipment issues and on another day preparing high detail and complex reports. Ideally, we are looking for somebody with a real interest in IT who is looking for a development opportunity to become a 1st Line Support.
Full time hours of work are 40 hours per week but we are open to consider candidates on part time basis of 30 to 25 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure customer faults communicated via email or phone are logged and resolved in within SLA’s
* Resolve issues if able or escalate
* Prepare equipment for dispatch (Windows laptops, Android devices, printers etc.)
* Maintaining the IT equipment asset register and arrange dispatch / collection of IT equipment to end users
* Set up User accounts within Active Directory / Office 365
* Create and maintain departmental documentation
* Arrange for disposal of obsolete IT equipment
* Maintain stock levels of IT equipment, order replacement items as required
* Run reports to track assets and monitor SLA’s
Person Specification:
The successful candidate is likely to meet all of the following criteria:
* Strong interest in IT / Technology with a desire to learn new skills
* A good telephone manner, ideally with previous experience in a customer facing role
* High attention to detail
* Experience of using Excel would be beneficial
