Job Description

RSVP Resourcing is delighted to be supporting one of Scotland’s leading Managed IT Service Providers delivering a full-scale managed support service to companies across the UK from their offices in Perth, Edinburgh, and Birmingham.

We are looking for a 2nd Line Technical Support Engineer to join their Edinburgh Team, based on the West side of the city.

The successful candidate will play an integral part of the company’s continued success and growth.

There is the opportunity for hybrid working as agreed with your Line Manager, after initial training and induction

Having moved solidly into the Cyber Security space whilst building and launching a cutting-edge Cyber Security SaaS product you will have unrivalled opportunities to exposure, and involvement in, cyber security projects. This includes access to training/certification resources and on-the-job experience.

The Role:

As a senior technical resource, you will have responsibility for supporting 1st line engineers as well as working alongside senior engineers to ensure the business continues to provide the best possible service in a timely manner to all of its clients. You will work with the Service Team Lead and wider support team to ensure any recurring technical issues are addressed and any training and/or documentation requirements are identified and implemented. Throughout your role you will maintain a strong customer focus for both internal and external customers.

The person:

* Previous experience of working within a similar role for a MSP/MSSP

* Exceptional communication/people skills

* Great sense of humour !!

* Flexible in your approach

* Hold a current and clean driving licence

Technical Experience:

* Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 including server build, support and migration

* Windows 10 Support

* Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy and Intune

* Microsoft Office 365 Suite Administration (AzureAD, Exchange + SharePoint)

* VMware ESXi & Hyper-V Administration

* Strong Networking Experience (TCP/IP v4/DHCP/DNS/VLAN/QoS/Firewalls)

* VOIP Support & Troubleshooting

* Backup/Disaster Recovery Monitoring, Troubleshooting & Restoration

* Cyber Security
