Role: Aviation Operations Manager – Soft Services
Salary: £35k-£40k plus benefits

About the Role:
Bridge Recruitment are currently networking for an Aviation Operations Manager specialising in Soft Services, to join the Team of one of our clients, a leading cleaning and support service provider operationg nationwide. As Aviation Operations Manager, you will be responsible for contract management as well as ensuring compliance with contract budgets. The ideal Aviation Operations Manager will have completed the company supervisor's training course and will have an understanding of Risk and COSHH assessments.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure contract management so that the set short term goals and long-term objectives are achieved
* Plan, coordinate and control day to day service provision on site in accordance with the contracted and as per client’s requests
* Ensure compliance with contract budgets
* Update asset list and ensure compliance
* Assess service quality, including incoming requests and, if applicable, plan, coordinate and control corrective actions
* Recruit, vet, re-allocate, promote staff and ensure the required number of staff on site to complete specification
* Control management of HR issues on site and raise disciplinary issues with Operations Manager
* Order stock, uniforms, consumables and rechargeable items according to the schedule; follow up missing deliveries
* Input timesheets into internal system once authorised by Line Manager
* Report all accidents accordingly to company and client, then ensure appropriate investigation and implement further actions required
* Motivate and lead subordinated employees
* Always work within Health and Safety legislation
* Comply with company’s procedures and requirements
* Be vigilant and report any security breaches immediately to Line Manager and client, along with machinery faults
* Ensure all monthly audits are completed accurately and all areas are completed within the monthly audit and that this is synchronised and placed on client space. All audits are also required to be checked before being presented to the client
* Arrange and participate actively within monthly supervisor team meetings in order to develop ideas, identify any problems and support the supervisors and Assistant Manager
* Propose continual improvements to the contract
* Manage staff work passes in line with client requirements
* Carry out Site Manager's duties in accordance with job description, specification and Line Manager’s requirements
* Comply with Health and Safety requirements at all times
* Complete and manage operative working schedules accurately to the labour budgets and make the necessary amendments. Prepare a provisional schedule for one week in advance taking into consideration holidays
* When authorising holiday requests, adhere to all staff levels at all times following policies and procedures
* Ensure all operatives working on site have all relevant documentation and training documents completed before works commence at all times
* Ensure all periodic cleans and also all contracts within the site are adhered to as per the schedule. Liaise with Line Manager to arrange specialist cleaning if required
* Ensure a monthly H&S audit is also completed and sent to your Line Manager and Health and Safety Manager
* Ensure all timescales are met at all times
* Plan, coordinate and control job allocation
* Train subordinated employees

* Successfully completed supervisor’s training course carried out by company's Approved Trainers and understand both Risk and COSHH assessments provided for the tasks to be carried out
