Career Level Manager
A leading Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning company are on the lookout for an AWS Cloud Engineer to take up a 3rd line level position in their AWS practice, focussing on supporting and continually improving live production AWS cloud environments for a broad client base.
The AWS Cloud Engineer would be joining an established team of 1st to 4th line cloud engineers who own the reliability, availability, security and continual improvement/update of production AWS platforms. They work on a mixture of pro-active fault-seeking and remediation (security, reliability, scalability, observability, cost-optimisation etc.) as well as supporting the live production application and Data/AI solution platforms, assisting with projects, deployments etc. as required.
The AWS Cloud Engineer position provides the opportunity to develop further skills in infrastructure as code, automation scripting and experience with a variety of AWS services, within core infrastructure as well as serverless and data/AI/ML specific areas.
AWS Cloud Engineer – Essential Experience:
1-2 years + of commercial experience in an AWS focused infrastructure/DevOps position
Proven commercial experience providing support to core AWS infrastructure services including EC2 instances, S3 buckets and VPCs/Networks
Experience with CloudFormation or Terraform for AWS based infrastructure as code
Previous experience providing customer/client facing cloud or infrastructure support, ideally in a managed services or managed cloud team
Desirable additional experience:
Experience supporting and managing live production AWS platforms
ITIL based cloud or infrastructure support – ticketing, support processes, pro-active fault seeking and remediation etc.
AWS Certifications – Sys Ops, Solutions Architect, Developer or DevOps
AWS Cloud Serverless, Networking, Databases and Storage expertise
