Job Description

We have a super opportunity here for Account handlers with some commercial insurance experience who want to move into a more client facing/sales focused role or those currently working in a sales role associated with the education sector, to join a market leading broker, as a Business Development Executive. They are looking for someone with at least 2 years commercial experience, or a salesperson already selling a product or service into Education, so if you can tick these boxes, please read on!

They are a major player in the UK broking market but have big plans to continue their impressive growth, under the leadership of a very passionate and knowledgeable Ops Director, so this is an excellent time to be joining this part of the business.

They are looking for a driven, ambitious professional to join them. This is an ideal role for you, if you are an ambitious Commercial Insurance Account Handler looking to step up into a BDE role or a salesperson already selling into Education. This role will focus on working on an absence scheme, where schools, colleges and universities are covered financially for staff absences, so a really niche area of the market!

As a Business Development Executive, you will make a measurable contribution to the profitability and overall growth of the company, through effective sales pipeline management, prospecting activity, face to face visits and networking. You will be highly professional with a confident demeanour, as well as being extremely driven and highly ambitious.

The key to success is people. This broker work hard to get to know their customers, whether that’s new or existing clients. You will build relationships and understand their approach to insurance and risk management, tailoring and administering insurance solutions for the protection of their finances and liabilities.

You will be rewarded with basic salary of £30-35,000, plus excellent bonus opportunities. They also offer an extensive benefits package too:-

Office Hours are Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, with hybrid working (Monday and Friday from home).
