Job Description

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Mark Allen is celebrating yet another record year of success and we're excited to be looking for a Business Development Manager to join the Community Care portfolio which is an award-winning suite of digital products for the social care sector. We support councils and other social care organisations with the recruitment, retention, and development of high-quality teams.

This team make a real difference in supporting social workers in the social care sector ensuring adults and children are kept safe.

We offer continuous learning and development, flexible working, and a salary of up to £40,000 plus commission of circa £15-20K and benefits.

To give you an idea of how this role would look and feel, here are some of the rewarding things you can expect to do where you will make a real difference:

* Using your recruitment expertise, you'll be sharing creative ideas with Local Authorities and Trusts across England and Wales to support them in attracting, recruiting, and retaining social work staff within your dedicated territory. These aren't always easy or obvious solutions so you get to be creative.

* Nurture your current key accounts and be seen as an extension of their company often hosting their events such as webinars so confidence on camera is pretty important.

* Gain fulfilment from consulting with customers to help showcase them as an employer of choice in this candidate-poor sector.

* Be part of a truly committed team, that set itself apart from the marketplace in its approach, innovative ideas and customer solutions.

How?

Our approach focuses on delivering value for our customers. As Business Development Manager, you will be working in a consultative manner to sell a range of digital solutions to Local Authorities and Trusts, both to secure high-value new business contracts, as well as renew and upsell to an existing client base. This will be achieved through strong business development and account management skills, through regular face-to-face meetings (currently via virtual platforms).

You will thrive in this role if you enjoy recruitment and making a difference…. because that is what our team set out to do when it comes to supporting the fantastic work our social workers are doing on a daily basis.

You also need to have:

* Proven sales experience, ideally within recruitment. This is a recruitment solution role where your guidance on the market and how to attract talent (and not just by popping an ad up on our job board) – is critical.

* The desire to be in a heavily people-orientated role. You'll need excellent listening, negotiating, influencing and presenting skills

In return, you join a fantastic, inclusive company. Head to our careers page for more info on our ED+I promise. We will invest in developing your career, and nurture your potential. You will earn up to £40,000 (DOE) plus commission and enjoy employee perks including a dedicated 24/7 employee wellness platform, season ticket loan, pension contribution, flexible working opportunities, ongoing training to continue developing your skills, #MAGSWAG, and more!

How are we working at the moment?

We are offering flexible working, a hybrid model. We are working in the office 2 days a week (if you want to work from the office for more than 2 days you are most welcome) You have the opportunity to work 3 days remotely. This is predominantly based in the Sutton office and at times we work from the London, Herne Hill office.

We positively celebrate Diversity & Inclusion in the Mark Allen Group. We hire great people from a wide variety of backgrounds because it makes our company stronger.
