Job Description
Bailey Employment Services are recruiting for our client based in Howden, who is currently looking for a Buying/Product Manager
Purpose of the role
To maximise the revenue and profit in printing and office supplies. To do this you will ideally have previous experience in buying and selling printing and office supplies. With the support of your Assistant, you will have complete autonomy for your categories, including (but not exclusive to) stock management, deal negotiations, ranging and relationship management.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Defining & managing, products listings on the company website in accordance with category and brand strategy
* Defining and utilising the various on and off-site mechanics to drives sales and up sell
* Development and maintenance of pricing strategy & promotional content
* High level support and point of escalation for Customer Service and Business Sales
* Developing & maintaining relationships with distributors and manufacturers for day-to-day
* Representing the company at appropriate events
* Developing, planning & co-ordination of marketing activity
* Direction of re-order reporting, purchase order raising and management of stock queries
* Direction of raising of rebate and marketing invoices
* Undertaking of manufacturer accreditations to an appropriate level where applicable, to contribute to overall company partner status
* Support development of own-brand products & strategy in conjunction with Imports department
* Demonstrate high standard of planning, organisational and time management skills
* Demonstrate high standard of communication and presentation skills
* Coordinate own and others workload to deliver to multiple deadlines
* Take ownership of tasks, problems and issues, and delegate where appropriate
* Maintain a detailed knowledge of the market, competitive landscape and their product range in order to make well-informed decisions
