Duty Crime Lawyer sought for a leading practice in West Yorkshire.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified duty lawyer with at least one years’ experience in criminal matters to join an accredited firm in Dewsbury. The successful candidate will handle a complex caseload, whilst attending clients from initial arrest to trial.

Responsibilities

Representing clients detained at police stations
Attending police stations
Murder
Manslaughter
Grievous bodily harm
Sexual assault
Fraud and serious fraud
Firearms offences
Robbery
Drafting instructions to counsel and expert witnesses
Representing vulnerable clients
The Candidate

Qualified solicitors with at least 1 years PQE or Chartered legal executive advocates with at least one years’ experience in criminal matters
Crime duty accreditation is essential
Able to meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy
Works well as part of a team but equally comfortable working on own initiative
