Career Level Manager
We have an amazing opportunity for a talented and experienced Back End Web Developer to join a dynamic, fast paced Marketing team in Liverpool. You will be responsible for building, updating and developing 3 ecommerce websites, ensuring that they are optimised and fully functional.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining in-house custom platforms to support customer service and account management teams. Working closely with the Head of Technology and the rest of the Development Team, you will develop and drive forward new technologies within the business.
You will have a varied role, working across multiple ecommerce websites and internal custom platforms. You will be required to work within our development process and also help to improve this, bringing fresh ideas to the team.
There will be a variety of work to undertake during sprints from multiple departments as well as ad-hoc tasks, so time management and problem solving is key for this role.
Completing web development tasks in our backlog on time and without defects. Contributing towards the future technologies we can use for our websites and platforms Providing technical support for the Marketing & IT Development Team and to other departments within the company
Development and maintenance of current e-commerce websites
Building new websites from start to end
Development and maintenance of current in-house platforms
Helping to drive forward and deliver on exciting new web-based technologies to drive forward the business, including custom builds and apps
Optimising areas of the business with web development
Integrating with third party API’s and software platforms
Automating manual processes to improve productivity in the business
Looking at competitor and market analysis, key part in the optimisation process
Making recommendations to the team, plus adhoc projects
Must have experience working in a similar ecommerce web development role
Experience of building websites from start to finish
Excellent knowledge of PHP (At least 3 years experience)
Experience with Web Servers (Apache/Nginx)
Knowledge of EC2 or similar cloud based hosting providers
Strong understanding of databases (MySQL/MongoDB)
Strong analytical, problem solving and debugging skills
Experience in working with a version control system such as Git
Excellent time management skills/The ability to manage your own time successfully and prioritise effectively
Strong portfolio of frontend and backend development
Experience with Lavarel and Docker (Desirable)
Salary up to £60k, depending on experience
