About the Food Category Marketing Executive job

Specialists in their product area, they have experienced significant growth in the past decade, supplying key customers in the retail, wholesale, and manufacturing sectors of the UK food industry.
They are looking for an energetic, creative & proactive marketer with a strong interest in working in the food sector.
Working in the marketing function on a wide variety of customer and business focused activities, the Food Category Marketing Executive will work closely with the commercial & NPD teams, playing an important part in driving the business growth plans via branded initiatives and selected own label projects that require marketing input.
Key tasks
* Work closely with NPD on product gap analysis and range reviews.
* Review the market to gain competitor knowledge, category knowledge & category insight.
* Coordinate new product artwork development, product imagery, marketing assets and updates to website content.
* Coordinate content across targeted social media channels for some branded ranges, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
* Development of new brand communications for ranges including trade adverts, brand literature and trade marketing materials.
* Help to plan, coordinate, and attend trade exhibitions and customer events.
* Conduct desk research, store audits and market data review to provide market information and insight into sector trends and opportunities.
About You
The role would suit someone with previous experience in FMCG brand management, shopper marketing, customer marketing or brand activation, however, experience gained in marketing roles in consumer products/consumer goods is also welcomed.
This role may also suit a graduate with a food product development or food marketing degree looking for their first food marketing job – a degree (or equivalent qualification) such as BSc. Food Business and Marketing would be fantastic.
You will be a self-starting, strong team player, who is able to work well individually and as part of a team – working collaboratively with the commercial & NPD teams to share information & provide support when needed.
Flexibility to attend trade shows and visit customers is also required, therefore a driving licence is needed.

The Food Category Marketing Executive job is based in Essex and is paying up to £30,000 according to your experience.
The working hours are Monday – Friday, office hours.
There may also be the flexibility to work on a hybrid basis
