ABOUT THE ROLE

Salary: £40,000-£55,000 DOE

Location: Sheffield/remote working

ZOO Digital have experienced high demand for our services during the pandemic and grown substantially over the last year. Due to further growth in the business, we are currently seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our award-winning Research & Development team. Research & Development work closely with the Product Support Team to create cutting edge software solutions for high profile and industry-leading customers. ZOO’s Research & Development department is thriving – you will work as part of a dynamic, lively team with plenty of opportunities for progression and professional development. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our rapidly expanding Research and Development team, helping to provide creative, innovative and quality driven software at what is a very exciting time for ZOO.

The Full Stack Developer will solve technical problems and develop appropriate, effective and efficient software engineering solutions. In so doing, you are expected to be creative and innovative, always pushing yourself to the limits of your ability. Day to day responsibilities will include;

* Liaising with the Product Management team, developing bespoke software to suit customer requirements

* Advising on any issues with design and development

* Working towards specific project deadlines

* Managing own workloads, productivity, and quality standards

* Building and maintaining excellent working relationships

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for bright and experienced Software Engineers who are passionate about technology, pride themselves on their excellent standards, and are keen to work as part of an ever-growing, ever-developing team. Applicants who look to push themselves to the limits of their ability will thrive within this role. As well as strong programming experience in one or more Object-Oriented languages, the Full Stack Developer must also have the following experience;

* Commercial full stack development in an Agile environment is preferable.

* Experience of backend and frontend web development technologies

* Knowledge of database technologies is preferable

* A good understanding of software engineering processes and methodologies
