Graduate Test Engineer
A fantastic opportunity for a Junior Test Engineer to work on a range of embedded and/or systems testing for an industry-leading company that support systems and data for governments and major organisations globally.
Offering highly interesting work and very flexible hybrid working, this role ideally suits a Graduate who has good exposure to testing code, a strong problem-solving mentality and the ability to grasp complex systems and concepts.
Location: Leicestershire – 2 days a week in office
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per annum plus excellent benefits
Requirements for Test Engineer:
* Minimum of a 2.2 honours degree in a relevant subject with a high Computer Science content i.e. Mathematics, Physics, Engineering
* It is essential that you understand how to follow a documented process
* You must have excellent attention to detail
* It would be highly desirable if you have; written and executed any manual test case; have basic scripting knowledge; written automated tests; used bug management tools; used Relational Databases or Web Services
* Any of the following would also be desirable: execution of test scripts, understanding of Agile concepts, ISO 9001 knowledge, used tools such as (SVN, Jira, Jenkins, etc.), XML, SQL, BDD, or used mobile technology before
Responsibilities for Test Engineer :
* Use a range of tools and technologies to ensure quality across all software
* Apply automated testing to increase efficiency
* Create bug reports
* Report on progress and contribute to documentation
* Participate in retrospectives to ensure improvements
