Job Description

This organisation is a world leading manufacturer for applications throughout numerous industrial sectors, including mining, oil and gas, food, process, defence, power, chemical and pharmaceutical. With an engineering heritage spanning over 80 years, the group has a turnover of multi-millions globally. The organisation is focused on the manufacture and supply of specialty machined products for critical applications going into oil and gas, food processing, chemical, nuclear, defence and aerospace. They are now looking to strengthen their sales team with the addition of an Internal Sales Rep. You’ll be a professional, commercially minded individual who has exceptional customer relationship skills, helping to support the sales effort across the UK. Ideally you will have experience within an engineering environment and will be able to support customers with technical knowledge and support (with training, of course) however this is not a must.
What You Will Do:
* To provide internal commercial support to the field sales team to ensure customer’s expectations are met and service levels exceeded.
* Co-ordinate the management of customers, including generation and conversion of sales leads.
* Prepare commercial proposal’s (quotations/tenders etc.).
* Build strong customer relationships.
* Initiate outgoing customer calls with prospective clients to establish qualified appointments for members of the field sales team.
* Partner and work closely with key members of the field sales team to provide sales support.
* Proactively follow up quotations to determine the status of proposals and convert opportunities to orders.
* Assist in market research to generate new customers.
* Liaise with key stake holders.
