IT Helpdesk Technician

Salary: From £22,000 (Dependant on experience)

NXT are proud to be working on behalf of an established local company who are seeking an IT Technician to support in their Carlisle based HQ.

The role
As part of the Carlisle helpdesk team, be the first line of support for incidents / enquiries / projects, escalating where required within the team or to external providers.

Key Accountabilities

* Providing first line Desktop/Laptops/Mobile devices support

* Providing first line support for Applications support

* Escalating calls in a timely fashion where needed

* Participating in projects for the IT team where required

* Managing the rollout Desktop/Laptop/Mobile devices to an agreed specification and in a timely manner

* Maintenance the asset register

* Ensuring issues are resolved, and enquiries are dealt with fully in a timely manner

Skills & Abilities

* Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales

* A mind-set for continuous improvement and self development

* Be comfortable working to targets and driven to achieve them

* Have effective communication skills both verbal and written

* Analytical and collaborative problem-solving skills

* Have effective organisational skills

* Possess strong IT skills in MS Office applications – Outlook, Excel & Word

* Be able to work to a high standard of accuracy

* The ability to function well as part of a team

* Multi-tasking abilities and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

* Confidence to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
