Probate Legal Assistant
Location: Bromsgrove
Salary: £19k-£23k
Hours: Full time (permanent)
Wright Staff are looking for a Probate Legal Assistant to work for our client in Bromsgrove.
Main Duties:
To undertake the preparation of standard letters, preparation of Lasting Power of Attorney documents and other relevant documentation (after training).
To undertake the daily opening of files and dealing with ID and AML checks.
To undertake digital dictation when required.
To attend client meetings with Fee Earners, including the preparation of attendance notes thereafter.
To make appointments, arrange meetings and maintain the diary for yourself and your principal.
To prepare meeting rooms as necessary and arrange for the tidying and clearance of rooms at the conclusion of meetings and providing refreshments when asked to do so.
To make effective use of the firms’ case management systems.
To attend clients both in person and on the telephone in a professional and friendly manner ensuring that quality of service levels are to the highest standards.
To ensure the confidentiality of all the firm’s and clients’ documentation and information.
To undertake any specific training when required to do so and overall to have a responsibility towards self-development.
To refer clients and others to the fee earner with conduct of the relevant file or to your Supervisor or in their absence to another Solicitor within the department, if a client or other party requires any advice or assistance of a legal rather than administrative nature.
To follow internal methods, systems and procedures.

Essential:
As a Probate Legal Assistant you will have:
Excellent typing, good personal and organisational skills, polite, flexible, willing to learn and work as part of a team.
Desirable:
Ability to progress miscellaneous tasks and projects pertaining to office administration and Business development. Broad based experience with any specialities useful to the Practice.
Expectations:
To be an active part of the team within the Wills & Probate department, assisting them with regard to your own experiences and skills to date
