Job Description
Legal Secretary – Private Client
Location: Shirley
Salary: £18,500 – £22,000 DPOE
My client is a leading law firm based in the heart of the Midlands.
Due to major growth, they are currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Secretary to join their Private Client department. You will be providing admin and secretarial support to Solicitors and Fee Earners as well as liaising with clients.
Duties will include:
▪Opening and closing client files
▪Liaising with clients, taking messages and transferring calls
▪Preparing client letters, conflict and money laundering checks
▪Dealing with and filing of Wills through HMRC
▪Preparing legal documentation and creating file bundles
▪Typing dictations
▪Updating clients on progress of matters
▪General admin duties such as printing, scanning and filing
Key skills and requirements:
▪You must have at least 2 years experience as a Legal Secretary and strong knowledge of Private Client matters such as Wills and Probate
▪A minimum typing speed of 65 wpm
▪Professional telephone matter with strong IT skills
▪Experience of using case management systems as well as Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and Excel
