Job Description

JOB: PPE Operations Manager

LOCATION: Newcastle upon Tyne

STATUS: Permanent

SALARY: Circa £35k plus benefits

My client is looking to appoint a full time, permanent PPE Operations Manager. This role will involve visiting suppliers and customers, so a full UK Driving Licence is essential.

YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE OF PPE AND WORKWEAR SALES – and you may be an internal PPE and Workwear and Janitorial products sales person who is looking to make a move into a managerial position.

Working closely with the Sales Director/Sales Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

* Provide sales and stock management process support.

* Manage the PPE stock files ensuring all data remains relevant and up to date.

* Ensure stock levels are maintained at optimum levels

* Maintain strong relationships with all the PPE suppliers

* Provide sales support to groups sales activities and sales teams

* ISO Management & Compliance

Detailed Duties & Responsibilities

These will include, (but are not exhaustive)

Sales Management Support

* Management of strategic Clothing/PPE customers as agreed with the Sales Director/Sales Manager.

* Seek, apply for and complete Clothing/PPE tenders on behalf of the the company

* With assistance from the Sales Manager support the sales team in developing additional Clothing/PPE sales within the existing customer base.

* Maintaining contact with existing and potential new Clothing/PPE suppliers to broaden awareness of new developments and opportunities for the benefit of the company.

* Monitor & assist in maintaining healthy sales margins on all clothing & PPE item sales as per the group’s sales budget targets. Ensuring customer price lists are maintained to return acceptable sales margins.

Management of PPE & Clothing Stock Files

* Concise, logical, and uniform product management systems covering coding structure, garment description, sizes, colour images and badging where appropriate.

* Management and creation of Standard Index and Bundle stock files.

* Ensuring all pricing is kept up to date in terms of –costs, published sales prices (MRP) consistent with company pricing structure(s)

Monitoring of Customer Price List Terms – pricing created, maintained, and adjusted/amended to ensure margin retention and where possible improvement

Process Management

* In conjunction with the Sales Director, Sales Manager & IT Support Manager, Sales Office Manager, management of the ‘sales process’ for Clothing/PPE items on the companies ERP system ensuring,

* Sales Quotations can be processed ensuring clarity of customer interest in terms of garment/item, colour, size, badging price and delivered date.

* Sales Orders can be processed ensuring clarity of customer requirement in terms of garment/item, colour, size, badging price and delivered date.

* Bespoke Garments can be badged or altered where appropriate, picked, loaded, and delivered in terms of garment/item, colour, size, badging price and delivered date.

* In conjunction with the Purchasing Manager(s), management of the purchasing process for clothing &PPE items on the groups ERP system ensuring,

* Purchase Orders can be processed ensuring clarity of our requirement in terms of garment/item, colour, size, badging price and required delivery date.

* Goods Inwards – goods can be received, processed (booked in) accurately in terms of, quantity garment/item, colour, size, badging, price and ‘put away’ in appropriate bin locations

ISO: Management

* Working with the board and management teams in the implementation, training and maintenance of the working practices and procedures as set out in the ISO 2001 quality management and ISO 14001 environmental management systems

* Ensuring that in the event of a delivery query the issue is investigated promptly and accurately and where appropriate arranging for a secondary delivery, return of goods, credit note etc.

* Providing support and assistance to other members of management team such as purchasing, distribution and sales.
