This is a rare opening for an experienced lawyer who is looking to be part of a team of experts spread across the country, but is also keen to take on a position without direct supervision which they can really ‘make their own’. The firm is highly regarded both by its competitors and in the legal press, continuing to expand and thrive over recent years, and is now looking for an expert in Birmingham to spearhead its local private client offering and replicate that which it already enjoys on a national level.

You will be an experienced and highly effective private client lawyer who has strong technical knowledge, and who is also confident in their own abilities to cross-sell and develop the local client base. The firm’s reputation for advising High Net Worth individuals will give you a solid platform from which to do so, and there are also numerous cross-selling opportunities with the practice also boasting an excellent commercial client base.

You will be comfortable advising on a range of private client matters ranging from estate planning and tax matters through to probates and Powers of Attorney, as well as will drafting including advising on cross-border estates with international assets. The firm has an excellent reputation for flexible/hybrid working and as such candidates looking to combine office and home-working should be keen to explore this further, as will those looking for regular exposure to complex work and HNW clients.

A following is not a prerequisite for director level candidates, although for applicants seeking partnership it will be expected that you will have contacts with IFAs and similar who are likely to refer matters to you. Remuneration is excellent and should attract talented lawyers with experience at the top end of the market.
