We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic, conscientious and organised Ecommerce Assistant to join our Marketing Team.
The ECommerce Assistant will be responsible for adding new products and content for several brands across different ecommerce platforms whilst maintaining and updating existing content.
The role is varied and will require a candidate with strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and someone who can follow best practices and react positively to short-notice requests.
The Role of the Ecommerce Assistant
You will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
Pro-actively creating, maintaining and updating product listings across our e-commerce websites (this will include uploading imagery, copywriting product descriptions, and making sure listings and related data are consistent across the site) – utilizing our Product Information System (PIM).
Responsible for product data integrity in all of our e-Commerce systems.
Ensure new and existing products are updated in a timely and accurate manner in readiness for our websites and catalogue production.
Writing product descriptions and resizing images, working with our suppliers to gather missing product data and images.
Liaising with management to ensure stock, pricing, and lead times are accurately kept up to date across the site.
Maintain customer data for marketing purposes in our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.
Skills And Experience needed for the Ecommerce Assistant
Proficient in Microsoft Excel including using a variety of formulas, lookups and data validation techniques to improve our effectiveness as a team (Essential)
Be a highly competent computer user (strong skills in Microsoft Excel)
Experience of working with back-office systems (Essential).
Proven ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
High level of problem-solving skills
Communicate with all levels of the business in a clear and precise manner, written and verbally.
Previous experience within an e-commerce business (Advantageous)
Experience of working with Product Information Management systems (Advantageous).
Basic SEO knowledge and experience of using Google Analytics (Advantageous)
Person Specification required for the Ecommerce Assistant
Proven experience of working under pressure in a calm, efficient and organised manner.
Excellent track record of working to strict deadlines and maintaining a high standard of attention to detail.
Proven computer literacy with a logical approach to system usage.
Experience within an E-commerce environment/basic understanding of E-commerce platforms (advantageous but not essential).
Salary, Working Hours and Holiday:
* Salary £22,000- £25,000 per annum (depending on level of experience)
* 2 Group Hours – Monday – Friday 8am – 4.30pm and 9.30am – 6pm. Alternate weeks
* 3 months probation period.
* 25 working days paid holiday (plus Bank Holidays).
