We’re hiring for an enthusiastic Production Manager to join a fast-paced and leading manufacturer based in Glossop. With several sites across the globe, you’ll be joining at a time of massive growth in order to manage and lead an energetic production team, as well as working towards set targets which include material output and waste efficiency.

What will you be doing as a Production Manager?

* Providing leadership and clear direction to ensure delivery of production at the target efficiency rates on all assets at the right cost and quality

* Responsible for the safety of all employees operating within the production area and implementing safety programs to improve safety performance

* Developing organisational capability through robust development activities and coaching team in standards required for delivering the standard and improvements

* Leading the area and teams by providing clear direction in a challenging and motivational way so as constantly improve business performance

* Working with the engineering team to carry out the day-to-day maintenance

* Managing the staffing levels to meet requirements and approving probationary staff

* Maintaining SAP, Chemical stock take and COSHH assessments for area

* Implementing effective strategies to improve safety performance

What do you need?

* At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role or level below with capability to move to a bigger role

* Previous experience of managing people or supporting the management of a team

* Relevant degree would be advantageous

* IOSH qualification would be beneficial

* Excellent PC skills; must be able to use Microsoft Office and be able to present information professionally and confidently (PowerPoint, Excel, reports etc.)

* Previous experience of carrying out low level disciplinary’s and supporting corrective measures

* The ability to build an open working environment, listen actively, inspire and motivate a team
