Sales Executive
BelkavitzSloan are proud recruitment partners to an iconic family owned stockholder distributor and installer of structural steel products, with full in-house processing facilities including; cold sawing, flame cutting, drilling and fabrication services. Established in 1904, this company has some of the best section processing facilities in the region and prides itself on stocking products of the highest quality and providing a local and tailored service to its clients in the South East of England. With stockholding sites throighout the region and its own fleet of vehicles this company can provide a fast and responsive service and are the preferred supplier to engineering, construction and OEM's in the home counties.
Position summary
Due to continued success and expansion our client requires a Sales Executive to join the team based in London, servicing accounts and projects in Essex and the home counties.
Your strategical focus will be on developing and executing the sales strategy across a defined territory, with an emphasis on managing a set portfolio of key accounts, acquiring new customers and identifying growth areas. Also, retaining and growing the company’s valuable corporate relationships.
Role
. Develop new business in multiple industry sectors and meet sales targets.
. Identify networking opportunities to acquire new customers.
. Implement product/customer/market strategies for structural steel products and produce offers, pricing and contracts.
. Customer Relationship Management: cultivate, optimise and extend relationships with customers including the identification of cross-selling opportunities.
. Manage existing accounts through regular contact.
. Develop an understanding of end user applications so that you will be in a strong position to upsell added value services to maximise margin.
. Market analysis to understand buying trends and competitor activity.
The Essentials
. Experience in the steel & metals industry is important; with a clear understanding about steel, metal or industrial products.
. Experience in B2B (Sales & Purchasing preferably) at least 1-2 year’s
. Enthusiasm for a demanding industrial product and technical understanding
. The desire to identify new sales opportunities and win them against fierce competition.
. A strong team player who enjoys the art of sales coupled with a relentless hunter mentality.
. Self-confident, positive and hard working.
. Outstanding communication skills – written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal
