Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Bristol, Beckington, or Barnstaple based with a mix of office and home-based working
Up to £60k per annum. DOE + Benefits inc. half day Friday, flexi time, hybrid working patterns and more.

Our Transport team delivers technology that improves road safety, reduces traffic congestion, and makes transport more sustainable. Ranging from Clean Air Zones to Smart Cities, ANPR enforcement systems through logistics management, our solutions empower transport planners and managers to improve the urban environment for everyone.
What you’ll do
As Senior Infrastructure Engineer you’ll design, implement and administer IT infrastructure for reference systems, test and integration environment, and for delivery of capability to customers within our Transport portfolio.
You’ll work closely with project and product teams to develop and deliver tailored systems and strategies into production environments, ensuring solutions are cost-effective, efficient and reliable. Your responsibilities include:
* Configuration management of deployed IT systems
* Working with project teams and customers to identify requirements to design and implement IT systems (workstations builds, OS configuration, network architecture, firewall and VPN configuration and more)
* Support Bid Managers, inputting on technical IT solutions and systems in new bids/proposals
* Deployment of OS and software updates with minimal operational disruption
* Administration and configuration of operating systems and software Analysis and resolution of faults
* Review, support and supervise the work of junior team members
What you’ll bring
The chosen candidate will have significant experience in designing and delivering IT systems and infrastructure for test and production environments, ideally in a similar technical environment to SEA’s Transport division. You’ll bring the following skills and competencies:
* Linux systems administration
* Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Windows Server
* Virtualisation, including Hyper-V and Containers
* Amazon Web Services
* Infrastructure as Code using Packer and Terraform
* Graylog/ELK/Zabbix
* System Security Engineering
