Software Developer required for a leading client with head offices based in Derby. My client is currently seeking a Software Developer to implement software using the latest versions of Java and JavaScript frameworks, working within Eclipse and IntelliJ IDEs.

You will also be responsible for working with the team to estimate user stories, and subsequently deliver as part of the iterative development lifecycle. You will develop and test solutions to business problems in line with the user requirements, while actively participate in sprint pre-planning and solution designs.

*This is a hybrid role, so candidate's must be able to travel to site at least once/ week, to one of the three sites based in Derby, Milton Keynes or London.

Key skills required:

You have strong knowledge of Java 8 and above, JavaScript or Typescript, Spring and the use of either Eclipse or IntelliJ.
Have strong knowledge of unit testing / mocking frameworks, ideally JUnit / Mockito.
Have strong knowledge of messaging technologies and principles (e.g., IBM MQ or Rabbit MQ).
Experience of implementing containerisation (Docker) and microservices is desirable.
Experience of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS or Azure) is desirable.
Experience using Relational / No SQL Database is desirable.
Experience of Reactive programming would be advantageous.Salary:

The salary my client is offering for this position is between £55,000- £65,000 per annum, plus excellent benefits and bonuses depending on annual performance.
