This Lexcel accredited practice on the Hertfordshire/Essex border seeks a talented Junior Litigation/Criminal Solicitor on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Litigation/Criminal Solicitor to join our client’s thriving firm located on the Hertfordshire/Essex border. The successful candidate will utilise their knowledge and experience to assist commercial and private clients on a range of disputes whilst contributing to the on-going development of the practice.

Responsibilities

Transport law and associated regulatory matters
Road traffic prosecutions
Road Traffic Commissioner public inquiries
Office of Traffic Commissioner appeals
Contractual disputes
Corporate manslaughter
Police and DVSA/VOSA investigations, including interviews under caution
Advising on regulatory compliance and best practice
Health and safety regulations
Advising on clandestine entrant and illegal immigration
Tachograph cases
Transport employment matters
Participating in business development initiatives
The Candidate

Qualified solicitors from NQ – 3 years’ PQE
Technically proficient in civil and commercial litigation
Experience of regulatory or criminal law is highly desirable
Has a consistently strong academic record with a minimum of 2:1 at degree level
Possesses outstanding communication and client care skills
Highly analytical with a keen eye for detail
Able to manage own workload with minimal supervision
Demonstrates an understanding of, and ability to exceed business targets (Billing and time recording)
