Job Description

Supplier Quality Manager

Location: Shropshire

Duration: Permanent

Salary: Competitive – please apply for further information

Hours: Monday to Friday Days – 40hrs

We are recruiting on behalf of our well-established engineering client in the Shropshire area who has an opening for an experienced Supplier Quality Manager to support in manging the Supply Chain performance in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery. The Supplier Quality Manager will be leading a small Supplier Quality team and driving actions and strategies for supplier development and engagement. You will be passionate about developing strong supplier relationships and be a natural at developing systems and processes that support the wider business in ensuring customer satisfaction and superior product quality.

The Supplier Quality Manager will be responsible for:

* Lead and develop the Supplier Quality team

* Being the point of contact for key suppliers

* Collate, manage and analyse supplier KPI’s

* Carry out new and existing supplier audits ensuring the schedule is adhered to

* Work Closely with Procurement, Engineering and plant quality teams to support in supplier selection, performance and conformance

* Provide support I the NPI process and APQP

* Take actions and interventions with suppliers where needed

Skills and Experience required:

* Previous experience in either a Supplier Quality Manager / Senior Supplier Quality Engineer / Quality Manager position

* Working knowledge of supplier process management and control plans, APQP and FMEA’s

* Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment

* Experience in analysing supplier capacity and capabilities

* Strong analytical skills and experience in using data analysis tools

* Strong commercial acumen and understanding of commercial agreements and service levels

* Previous experience of applying lean manufacturing techniques and principles

* Strong knowledge and experience of working with IATF 16949
