Purpose and Scope of Position:
This is an ideal role for an articulate IT Support professional or IT Graduate equivalent looking to develop their career with a successful and innovative company. The successful candidate will benefit from excellent career development.
This role focuses on investigating and resolving technical issues on Windows PC’s and Apple Macs as well as looking after networked printers and responding to common user application issues. The bulk of your work will be providing remote support from our Brentford office but you may also be expected to on occasion visit client sites or one of our datacentre locations to carry out support or assist with project work.
Key responsibilities:
* Providing user support and administering client infrastructure
* Resolving and logging a variety of server, and networking issues in a first line support and helpdesk capacity
* Windows User Support / Microsoft Office User Support
* Support Mobile Devices for email (iOS, Android, Blackberry)
* Managing Network Printers
* Backup monitoring on client systems
* Remote Desktop/Laptop Rebuild (Predominantly Dell)
* Basic Mac Support
* Liaising directly with customers via telephone and email to ensure that service levels are maintained via a managed service approach
* Providing clear solutions with a quality approach to customer care
* Running routine/daily checks on client systems to ensure stability, e.g. backup checks
* Carrying out any other reasonable tasks requested by the management
We are looking for a candidate who is positive, approachable and demonstrates strong interpersonal skills. You will be able to prioritise and be methodical in your approach to specific tasks and admin. You should enjoy problem solving and take pride in swiftly and accurately diagnosing and resolving issues, providing patient and timely support to Clients users.
You should also demonstrate:
* Strong attention to detail and appreciation of its importance in all you do
* An enthusiasm for new technology and a drive to provide IT support and solutions to meet our clients’ requirements
* A willingness to learn about the broad spectrum of technical Support and IT infrastructure design, installation and support
* Some experience in supporting and installing hardware and software

* Working knowledge of Windows Server 2008/2012
* Active Directory
* Microsoft Exchange
* Group Policy
* An understanding of popular small business software
